The ordering and shipping process

Each time you make an order on our website for a process you must upload your image for it. You can order multiple copies of it if you like. If your image is not within our imaging requirements you will be warned when you try and crop it or fit it to the sheet size.

You can upload a color image and our website will automatically convert it to grayscale for you. Because all of our processes have a same handling margin we display that as a red line to you when you are placing your image into the sheet. You can crop right up to or past that marking, or you can choose to have even larger print margins by centering your image by cropping it smaller. You can even weight it with a little more bottom margin if you like for a more elegant appearance or for enough room for your signature. When you accept the crop your image is then rendered to that crop and will be printed accordingly. You are responsible for how your image is presented on the sheet, so be careful. You can select to have a soft proof sent back to you in the form of a pdf at a $10 option.

We then queue up your image for printing. If you are for whatever reason in a terrible hurry to get your print quicker than our normal turn-around you can select a rush option that adds 100% the cost. We do not delay our other customers but rather put your work into an extra shift in our studio. We work overtime so that we can keep our normal turn-around steady.

After printing your photograph is inspected to make sure it is without flaw (or we re-print), and it is protected with an archival slip-sheet on its surface for scratch or rubbing protecion. We use either acid-free tissue or acid-free glassine to protect its surface. It is then placed in an archival storage envelope, and shipped in a sturdy multi-core mailer.

If you intend to have a print produced that you can forget about for a few decades - then just leave it its mailer. Our mailer indicates that archival photographs are contained in the packaging. Otherwise, remove it from its packaging and enjoy it - but we recommend that you store the photograph in its archival storage envelope if you do not intend to frame it.

You will receive a tracking number when it is shipped. Our more time-consuming and expensive prints are shipped with a signature to insure it is delivered to you. If you need therefore, to have it shipped in a way that guarantees someone will be there to sign for it please put in that correct shipping address when you order.
